How To Replace The Supco Samsung Replacement WF289 Water Filter: 1. Twist the old filter a 1/4 turn counterclockwise. 2. Pull the filter straight down and discard. (The water shuts off automatically so you don’t have to worry about flooding your refrigerator). 3. Push the new filter up into the fridge until it stops and twist the filter a 1/4 turn clockwise 4. If your refrigerator has a ‘Change Filter’ light, reset it.

How To Reset The ‘Change Filter’ Light: 1. Press and hold the ‘Ice’ and ‘Child Lock’ buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. The light should then turn green. For best performance and to ensure clean and safe drinking water, it is highly recommended to change your filter every 6 months.
